Hello and welcome to the sale of this superb Westfield Sport. It has had just three previous keepers, and has covered just 14k miles. It comes with a comprehensive history file, including spec sheets and workshop manuals. It is a 2007 registered car, currently wearing the private plate 'P77 WST', which can be included in the sale if desired. It would revert to an '07' reg, and is obviously not a Q plate as many usually are. Whilst not a hugely powerful or high spec competition vehicle, this has been very thoughtfully put together car which provides enormous pleasure for fast road use or summer cruising. The 1600cc Ford Sigma engine is a modern and well regarded power unit, pushing out in the region of 140bhp through the 5 speed manual gearbox. It sounds great through the side exit sports exhaust, without being overpowering. It will also return great economy, and is simple to run and maintain with great parts availability. Brakes are the well regarded 'Hi-Spec' version, providing good stopping power. The suspension is well set up with minimum roll through the corners whilst maintaining excellent ride quality and no bottoming out. The rear suspension is independent. The silver Team Dynamics alloy wheels are in immaculate condition with premium Yokohama tyres all round, and comes with a full size spare wheel and carrier, not currently fitted but included. The carbon fibre style arches look the part, and the attractive exterior colour combination of blue with silver and orange pin stripes is complimented by the matching dark blue and black leather interior trim, which is all in great condition and very neatly finished. Additional gauges and warning lights for coolant, battery and oil etc have been fitted to keep the driver informed. It has a red starter button on the dash, and a cool Momo steering wheel. It has the much improved 'RAC' style roll bar / hoop, which not only looks much better but provides far better protection for the occupants. It has four point harnesses fitted for both driver and passenger. This is the widebody version, giving increased levels of driver comfort, ideal if like me you are of larger proportions! It comes with full wet weather gear including roof and doors, all in great condition with no rips or tears. It also has a heated front screen, which is very handy to prevent the screen misting up, along with fully functioning wipers and screenwashers. It starts, runs and drives very well indeed, extremely compliant on the road with no knocks or bangs, it accelerates hard through the gears and pulls up square under braking. It is capable of satisfyingly brisk and enjoyable performance without the quite frankly sheer terror of some of the more powerful Westfields and Caterhams that I have been in! To sum up, this is an extremely well thought out, nicely put together Westfield, with a great configuration and powertrain. It is in fantastic condition throughout and is ready for the next owner to enjoy.
