Hello and welcome to the sale of this fabulous Morris Minor. It was first registered in January 1964 and still wears it's original dateless Somerset registration number. It now has the benefit of being tax and MOT exempt. There is a large history file documenting extensive recent expenditure to the tune of several thousand pounds for mechanical, body and trim improvements. Notable new items include full exterior chrome, unleaded cylinder head, electronic ignition, coil, radiator, fuel pump, brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake linings. It has also just been upgraded with a brand new brake servo giving welcome braking assistance and ensuring the car pulls up straight and true. All five wheels have been refurbished and shod with five premium continental tyres. The engine starts and runs perfectly with good power, delivering surprisingly zippy performance and that distinctive moggy sound! It must be mentioned that the gearbox on this car is particularly sweet with a very precise change and no crunching. The suspension and steering are tight providing a very pleasant driving experience. The Almond green paintwork is in lovely order, and whilst not to concourse standard is looking fresh with no damage or causes for concern. The shell itself has of course had work over the decades to keep the old girl on the road, no doubt with repairs as necessary and a thorough undersealing in more recent years still giving a presentable finish today. Another highlight is the beautiful green interior, which benefits from freshly trimmed seats and carpets, and features many of the lovely details of the older cars including the pretty cream coloured speedo on the earlier style dash and the pull-starter button. To sum up this is a very attractive, presentable and authentic survivor car, that whilst has not undergone a full nut and bolt restoration is nonetheless looking, running and driving very well due to the care and expenditure that has clearly been lavished upon it, and I am sure the new owner will be very pleased.
